The Watermark Music Series returns this summer to North Rustico. Curated by Sarah Segal-Lazar, the series showcases Island singer-songwriters over four themed nights that reimagine beloved classics and unveil original songs.

Red Dirt Blues on July 19 will feature a night of soul, grit, and groove as some of PEI’s finest blues musicians take the stage. From smoky slow burns to foot-stomping jams, this concert celebrates the raw emotion and timeless spirit of the blues.

On July 26, audiences can experience the vibrant joie de vivre of Acadia at the Soirée Acadienne. This celebration of rich musical traditions will feature traditional music, energetic folk tunes, and heartfelt songs that celebrate Acadian culture, interpreted by Francophone artists from the Maritimes.

Songs From the Deep: Maritime Music and Sea Shanties on August 9 blends time-honoured sea shanties with contemporary Maritime-inspired songs. The show brings together powerful voices and evocative storytelling to explore life on the water—its hardships, its myths, and its enduring pull. Equal parts haunting and rousing, this concert invites audiences to be carried away by rhythm, history, and the call of the ocean.

The series concludes on August 23 with Songwriters’ Songbook: Classic Tracks that Inspired New Tunes. This intimate show peels back the layers of the creative process, pairing songs that have shaped the writing of some of the Island’s finest songwriters with their own original work.
