Abegweit Chamber Singers: Here’s To Song

PEI’s newly formed choir, the Abegweit Chamber Singers, will stage its first choral concert, Here’s to Song, later this month. Performances will be held at Summerside Presbyterian on May 29 at 7:30 pm, and at St. Paul’s in Charlottetown on May 31 at 3 pm.

The ensemble brings together singers from several Island communities for this celebration of Canada. The program features music representing several provinces, including folksongs, under the direction of Ruth Ann Read-Clay, with pianist Ellen Davis. It will also include excerpts from Island composer Terry Pratt’s “Fragments from the Heart.”
