Healthcare Advocacy Event

The PEI and Canadian Healthcare Coalitions are inviting the public to two events aimed at confronting the problems in Canadian healthcare and possible solutions. A public meeting will be held at St. Paul’s in Charlottetown on July 21 at 7 pm. Attendees will hear experts and healthcare advocates from across Canada share their experiences and insights.

A public demonstration will take place at Queen’s Wharf, at the foot of Queen St in Charlottetown, on July 23 beginning at noon. Speakers include Andrew Longhurst of the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Chris Gallaway of Friends of Medicare (Alberta), Linda Silas of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions, and other well-known Canadians A free barbecue will follow the rally. Everyone is welcome.
