The 7th annual PEI Scottish Settlers Historical Society Souris Genealogy Day will be held at the Silver Threads Seniors Club on August 15 at 2 pm.

Myrna Babineau and Aggi-Rose Reddin will present an illustrated talk on the life of Dr. Roderick  MacDonald (1858—1961) of St. Peter’s Bay, PEI. Born in Maple Hill, “Dr. Roddie,” was—and still is—Canada’s longest-serving family doctor with a 69 year practice serving rural PEI.

Admission is free, refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome.
