Irish dance master Pat Murphy is returning to PEI to lead a set dance workshop and ceilidh on September 15 at the Benevolent Irish Society (582 North River Rd, Charlottetown). The workshop begins at 6 pm, followed by the ceilidh at 8 pm. Participants are invited to dance to live Irish music presented by Karine, Vincent, and friends. For over 35 years, Pat has shared traditional social dances around the world, including several with the Laban Rua set dance group on PEI. He has published seven books describing Irish set dances collected from communities throughout Ireland and the Irish diaspora, including PEI’s Souris Set.
