
The Benevolent Irish Society’s Friday Night Ceilidhs run weekly on Fridays through September 25 at the Irish Cultural Centre. The authentic Irish ceilidhs feature top PEI musicians, storytellers, dancers, and special guests.
The lineup includes: a Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem tribute by Fullerton’s Marsh’s Frank McQuaid, Randy Dibblee, Willie Arsenault, Dave McQuaid, Allison Giggey (fiddle), with step dancing by Havenwood Dancers on July 31; Tip ‘er Back’s Clive Currie, Allan Betts, Wade Murray with Darlene Bradley (vocals), Courtney Hogan-Chandler (fiddle), and step dancing by Havenwood Dancers on August 7; Chaisson Trio’s Louise Chaisson MacKinnon, and Kevin Chaisson with Shiela MacKenzie (fiddle), and step dancer Gerard Beaton on August 14; Macaroon’s Stephanie Rooney, Mark Rooney and Scott Kaye with Allison Giggey (fiddle) and step dancer Isla Rousseaux-Bridle on August 21; and Fiddler’s Sons’ Eddy Quinn, John B. Webster and Blu Gillis with Fiona MacCorquodale (fiddle) and step dancer Isla Rousseaux-Bridle on August 28.
The family-friendly shows begin at 7:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The air-conditioned venue is wheelchair-accessible. A 50/50 draw and light refreshments will be available at intermission.
