Cloggeroo Family Day
Cloggeroo Family Day returns to the outdoor grounds of the Kings Playhouse in Georgetown on August 15, from 1–4 pm, bringing together music and community in a celebration designed for all ages.
With a pay-what-you-can admission model, Family Day reflects Cloggeroo’s commitment to making live music accessible to everyone.
This year’s event features three performances: Charlie A’Court, delivering a blend of blues, roots, and rock; Steve Somers and the Redwing Blackbirds, bringing East Coast folk and roots music; and Hello Mischief, weaving folk melodies and rich harmonies.
Family-friendly activities will also return, including the Tie-Dye Station.
New this year, drummer, educator, and percussionist Chuck Bucket will lead an interactive hand-drumming workshop. Chuck’s engaging sessions focus on rhythm, culture, and community collaboration, creating an inclusive, hands-on experience that welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels to make music together.
Community organizations are at the heart of the day, with a fundraising BBQ hosted by Down East Dance Academy, a bake sale hosted by Inclusions East, snow cones from Chester’s Frosty Treats, and children’s games and activities with Families First Resource Centre.
