A Journey Back

For three decades, the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside has been the vessel for thousands of stories, but this July, the theatre itself becomes the main character. For its 30th-anniversary season, the theatre presents A Journey Back, a retrospective production that honours the stage that has served as the community’s cultural heartbeat since 1996. Performances run July 9, 10 and 11 at 7:30 pm.

Co-created by Craig Fair Productions and Harbourfront Executive Director Mary Dennis, A Journey Back is more than a variety show—it is a time machine. Featuring a powerhouse cast of sixteen PEI performers and surprise guests, the production weaves together the music, memories, and milestones that have defined the theatre’s legacy.

The show revisits many of the performances and “Harbour Highlights,” inviting the community to see their own history reflected on stage, told through the songs and stories that turned a building on the water into a home for the arts.
