Rutherford book wins

Best Atlantic-Published Book

Pan Wendt, curator at Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown, edited Erica Rutherford: Her Lives and Works | Ses vies, ses oeuvres, published by Goose Lane Editions. The book earned Goose Lane Editions the 2026 Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association (APMA) Best Atlantic-Published Book Award.

Of the book, the jury said, “Thoughtfully edited and beautifully designed (in both English and French, no less), Goose Lane Editions and Confederation Centre Art Gallery have demonstrably raised the profile of Erica Rutherford as an artist and historical figure through this title. They’ve created a book we didn’t even know we wanted—no small feat in publishing. A bilingual feat. As informative as it is beautiful.”

Presented annually at the Atlantic Book Awards, the APMA Best Atlantic-Published Book Award recognizes excellence and achievement in Atlantic Canadian publishing.
