Mental Health Week

The Canadian Mental Health Association’s 75th National Mental Health Week runs from May 4–10. The theme this year is Come Together, Canada: stronger connections, better mental health. Mental Health Week (MHW) is a call to spark small, everyday actions of connection, and to recognize the role we all play in supporting mental health through connection. Together, we can strengthen mental health, build healthier communities, and help more people feel connected.

The National Mental Health Week website (cmha.ca/mental-health-week) has plenty of resources available, including toolkits, fact sheets, social media assets, posts, and posters.

CMHA PEI is promoting MHW through its social platforms. Follow along and help spread the word using the hashtags #ComeTogetherCanada and #MentalHealthWeek, and share, like, and repost.

Other CMHA PEI activities during the week include partnering with the cities of Charlottetown and Summerside, as well as towns across the Island, to promote the week through a MHW proclamation.

Community barbecue and open house events will be held on May 6 at Notre Dame Place in Summerside (BBQ from 11:30 am–1 pm with open house from 1–3 pm) and at Hope Centre in Alberton from 12:30–2 pm.

Visit pei.cmha.ca for the complete list of MHW activities.
