WCB and Wounded Warriors Canada
The Workers Compensation Board (WCB) is strengthening its commitment to the psychological health and safety of trauma-exposed professionals through a partnership with Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC).
As part of the agreement, WCB team members will participate in ongoing trauma resiliency and trauma-informed training led by WWC. Staff have already completed the Basics of Trauma workshop, with additional training planned for the spring.
WWC is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting trauma-exposed organizations, professionals, and their families. It provides culturally informed services that combine education, counselling, and training to support resiliency and recovery from post-traumatic injuries.
In addition to the partnership, WWC is co-hosting the 2026 Atlantic Canada First Responders’ Mental Health Conference in Charlottetown from June 2–3. The conference will bring together representatives from across the public safety sector to explore best practices in research, training, clinical interventions, organizational supports, and individual and family-based care.
