Radiant. White. Light. A Divorce Memoir in Poems and Stories

Mo Duffy

PEI author Mo Duffy will release Radiant. White. Light. A Divorce Memoir in Poems and Stories on February 3.

A vulnerable poetic memoir of the aftershocks, displacement and resettling that comes after a divorce, Radiant. White. Light. underscores the spiritual and emotional dimensions of self-discovery and personal transformation. The memoir explores the evolving relationships and new perspectives that come from navigating the dynamics of blended families.

When the author’s marriage breaks down after 16 years, she embarks on a journey of transformative learning. Sometimes heart-wrenching, sometimes celebratory but always ethereal, Duffy’s testimony bears an examination of the emotional plane that everyone in a marriage should explore. From the shock of discovery of deconstruction through to the easement of rehoming, Radiant. White. Light. brings the reader through a divorce to the tenderness of vulnerability and displacement, under the waters of forgiveness, and finally to a place where life will never be the same.

For those walking through the unknown of separation, this memoir offers clarity, courage, and the comfort of shared experience.

The founder and editorial director of Pownal Street Press, Duffy holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction, and is the author of four books: Unpacked: From PEI to Palawan (2017), The Chemistry of Innovation: Regis Duffy and the Story of DCL (2021), Crescent Moon Friends (2022), and A is for Anne (2023).
