Winter Shine
New performance series features Island performers

The Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside presents Winter Shine, a new performance series showcasing the best of Island performers and billed as the ultimate winter pick-me-up.
“We are excited to bring this event to Islanders and visitors alike for the very first time. What a great way to shake off the winter blues and warm up to some fabulous entertainment,” says Theatre Director Peter Gallant.
With four shows on tap, the lineup begins with Island folk favourites Fiddlers’ Sons on February 12. The band features singer-songwriter Eddy Quinn, songwriter and guitarist John B. Webster, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Keelin Wedge, along with fiddler, Fiona MacCorquodale. Audiences can expect down-home songs and fiery fiddling.
Island winter comedy and music take centre stage on February 20 with Patrick Ledwell and Mark Haines and their dynamic show.
The Saltwater Dollies—PEI multi-instrumentalist Keelin Wedge and singer Christine Cameron—will headline on February 26, joined by Remi Arsenault and Caroline Bernard and Family.
Bad Reputation, led by PEI singer Alyssa Harper, will round out the series on March 5 with a tribute to rock icon Joan Jett.
Tickets and ticket packages can be purchased online at smpac.ca or by calling the box office at 902-436-5377.
