Nigerian-born, PEI-based recording artist Rightflow released the new album Welcome to the Jungle in June. It is available on all major streaming platforms.

Blending emo rap, trap, R&B, and Afro-fusion influences, Rightflow’s music explores personal experiences, emotional struggles, ambition, identity, and perseverance. Since relocating to PEI, he has continued developing his sound while contributing to the province’s diverse music scene. His work reflects both his African roots and his experiences building a life and career in Atlantic Canada.

Welcome to the Jungle is a 12-track album that explores what it feels like to navigate a world filled with uncertainty, pressure, temptation, competition, and personal growth. The title represents modern life as a “jungle” where survival requires resilience, adaptability, and self-belief. Through a combination of melodic songwriting, hard-hitting rap performances, emotional storytelling, and Afro-inspired rhythms, the album captures the highs and lows of chasing success while remaining true to oneself. Key themes include ambition and perseverance; mental health and emotional growth; identity and belonging; immigration and cultural perspective; survival in the modern world; and independent artistry and entrepreneurship.

As an immigrant artist creating music in PEI, Rightflow represents a new generation of artists contributing fresh perspectives and global influences to the Island’s cultural landscape. The project demonstrates how local artists can create work with international appeal while remaining connected to their communities.
