Right after Christmas, Islanders repeat a common refrain. “Well,” we announce, “that’s it for going out, for a while.”
That resolution usually lasts until late January, when the shut-in feeling takes hold. By then, it’s high time to get out from under those hatches we’ve battened down.
Join comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines for “The Shack Wacky Review,” an annual show celebrating Islanders and the unique qualities that help us live, drive, and survive here, all year round.
“The Shack Wacky Review” happens February 1 at PEI Brewing Company, 96 Kensington Road in Charlottetown. Showtime is 8 pm. Doors open at 7 pm.
This is the only full Charlottetown show this winter for Ledwell and Haines.
“The idea behind this show is good and simple,” says Ledwell. “Let’s get your friends out of the house together, a good drink in hand, and keep wintertime at bay with a barn-board-rattling night of entertainment.”
“The Shack Wacky Review is a night when we stack up all the favorite selections from the last seven years. It’s our stadium-style show!” adds Haines. “We also get to pull the tarp off some new pieces, for the first time.”
Advance tickets are available at PEIbrewingcompany.com, in person at PEI Brewing Company, or by calling 902-629-BREW (2739).
