Stompin’ Tom Festival
Series returns to Skinners Pond this summmer

The Stompin’ Tom Festival Series is an enduring tribute to Stompin’ Tom’s greatest passions: supporting musical talent and showcasing what it means to be Canadian. Visitors can enjoy live music, dinner theatre, a songwriters festival, and more this summer at the fully licensed open-air venue in Skinners Pond.
This year’s Stompin’ Tom Festival Series features artists such as Gordie MacKeeman & His Rhythm Boys, John McDermott, Kurk Bernard, Joey Doucette & Jamie Mathews, Acadian favourites Jonny Ray & Louise Arsenault, Jay Gavin, comedian Shawn Hogan, and many more. The full lineup of live concerts taking place Saturdays at 8 pm from June 6 to October 24 is available at stompintomfest.com.
Returning August 27–29 is The Nashville Songwriters Festival, part of this year’s Summer Festival Series. PEI host Ben Chase has once again curated a lineup of seasoned and emerging songwriters for this three-day festival of song circles and meet-and-greets. Anyone who has experienced the Bluebird Cafe or one of Nashville’s iconic music venues will love the vibe.
New this year is the dinner theatre production Stompin’ Tom Connors Live at the Horseshoe. Step inside Toronto’s legendary Horseshoe Tavern and celebrate Stompin’ Tom Connors. Live at the Horseshoe brings his spirit, songs, and storytelling tradition back to the stage where he made history. The show features Chad Matthew as Tom, alongside Kurk Bernard, Danalee Lynch-Veinotte, and fiddler Andy Doucette.
Visitors can also enjoy the Shucked-In Series, featuring free live entertainment daily from 1–2 pm at the Stompin’ Tom Centre. This year, Shucked-In will also pay tribute to the struggling PEI oyster industry with a daily experience following the live entertainment. Experience PEI’s twist on Newfoundland’s Screeched-In tradition: slurp a freshly shucked PEI oyster, chase it with a shot of PEI shine, and recite a salty pledge to earn the title of “Honorary Islander,” complete with a certificate.
Stay tuned for details on the Gail Shea Memorial Dance Hall fundraising events taking place later this year in August and October.
