Square dance with Colin Grant

Queens County Fiddlers event at the Pourhouse in February

Cape Breton fiddler Colin Grant will bring his high-energy traditional music to Charlottetown for a special square dance on February 14 at the Pourhouse, presented by the Queens County Fiddlers.

“Colin’s a fantastic fiddler who’s in high demand on all kinds of stages,” shares John Murley, music director of the Queens County Fiddlers. “Whether it’s at Celtic Colours, a West Mabou square dance, or a benefit concert, he’s always going to give the audience a great time.”

The evening will feature a spirited mix of jigs, reels, strathspeys, and waltzes, with Grant joined on stage by well-known PEI piano accompanist Darla Chaisson MacPhee. Ward MacDonald will call the dances, making the event accessible to dancers of all experience levels—no prior square dancing experience required.

Doors open at 5 pm, with a full menu available. Dancing begins at 7 pm. This is a 19+ event.

Tickets will be available in advance and at the door on the night of the event, subject to availability. Additional ticket details will be posted on the Queens County Fiddlers Facebook page by mid-January.
