Tara MacLean

Tara MacLean is an internationally renowned, multi-award winning songwriter, performer and best selling author from Canada. During the 1990s and 2000s, Tara enjoyed great success in Canada, US and Asia, on constant tour for a decade, even appearing on Conan O’Brien.

She was nominated for a JUNO Award with her band Shaye. She was handpicked for touring with Nelly Furtado, Dido, Willie Nelson, and Sarah McLachlan. She also took Jason Mraz on his first tour opening for her in the US.

During those years, Tara could be found gracing the cover of many magazines, with massive amounts of print press, TV specials, extensive radio play and film syncs. She sold over 100,000 records in North America, had a top 10 hit in the US, and a number 3 hit in Thailand, Taiwan, and Korea, and numerous hits in Canada.

In 2023, Tara MacLean went on to write an instant national best selling book, a memoir of her life in music called Song of the Sparrow.
