The PEI Potters Studio in Victoria Park, Charlottetown, is offering its 10-week fall pottery session beginning in September. Classes are open to beginners and experienced participants and are taught by professional Island potters in a relaxed, small-group setting. Participants will learn clay preparation, wheel-throwing, glazing, and decorating techniques while creating finished pieces. Adult beginner classes are offered on Mondays or Tuesdays at 6:30 pm beginning September 8. Online registration opens August 24 from 7–9 pm. After registration closes, participants will be selected by random draw and contacted as soon as possible. Children’s classes for ages 9–14 begin September 12 on Saturdays, with sessions at 9 am (ages 9–11) and 11:30 am (ages 12–14). An experienced youth drop-in class for ages 15–18 is offered Tuesdays at 4 pm. Registration for children’s classes is on a first-come, first-served basis.
