Volunteers needed for Gifts From The Heart

Gifts From The Heart mandate is serving low-income Island residents and those undergoing temporary hardships, for free through love and kindness. Whether it’s families facing challenging times, seniors in nursing homes, children in shelters, or those facing addiction problems and those living on the streets, GFTH seek public support and contribution to make a significant difference. With rising food costs they do their best to make every dollar count. Currently, GFTH is serving over 2000 families across PEI and provide food, furniture, household items, personal items, and all their basic needs. The recent wave of new immigrants has put more pressure on their services as every day more and more families coming to Canada are requiring their services. Immigrants arriving with limited resources require assistance with basic needs. As a nonprofit organization, GFTH rely heavily on the support of generous donors to continue their mission and expand their reach. With the support of communities and the people of PEI and others, they will be able to source healthier food options and be able to serve more families and communities throughout the Island. Funds will be used to purchase essential supplies, and overhead operating costs, support ongoing operations, and provide much-needed support to low-income residents. Donations and contributions will directly benefit families and individuals across Prince Edward Island and help to keep GFTH doors open. They also seek volunteers for helping man their community fridges in Stratford and West Royalty. Volunteers can register at the head office located a 10 Maple Hills Avenue, Charlottetown.
