Blooming House Women’s Shelter opened their doors in 2019 and is holding their first in person fundraising event. The Ride for Refuge is a family-friendly walk or bike event taking place on October 1. Participants can choose a distance of 2.5 km or 5 km to walk or 10 km or 20 km to bike. At the end of the event there will be a meal provided. Organizers are looking for team captains, participants & volunteers. This fundraiser will continue to help serve women experiencing homeless in PEI and expand the resources available to them. Blooming House is an 8 bed emergency shelter, and guests have access to essential services like food, shower, a bed, clothing, toiletries, and the opportunity to work with our Resource Coordinator. Participants can register or find out more at www.rideforrefuge.org/charlottetown
