PEI Rural Beautification Competition
The PEI Rural Beautification Society has launched its annual competition for 2026. From heritage homes, community buildings, and home improvements to vegetable patches, gardens, and cemeteries, there’s a competition for every age group and skill level across 17 categories. New this year is a competition aimed at native planting and biodiversity. Competitors are asked to create a habitat for native pollinators and birds, while also creating a resilient and low maintenance garden that requires less water and fewer pesticides. See the competition book for the full competition and category details. Competition books are available online at peirbs.ca, or in person at all Access PEI locations, Veseys Seeds, Kool Breeze Farms, and other Island greenhouse locations. Open to all rural Island residents, a total of $15,000 in prizes is up for grabs.
