The Charlottetown Duplicate Bridge Club is putting on a beginner course that teaches the essence of bridge in one day.

The course will be held at the Charlottetown Duplicate Bridge Club at their new location 92 Capital Drive, Unit 6. The cost is $50 per person which includes five hours of instruction, lunch and bridge materials.

The date of the course will be determined when the restrictions mandated by the Public Health Office are lifted.

There will be a half-hour lunch break. Pizza will be provided and water will be available.

The course presenters will be Ray Malone and Ken Kerr who are local bridge teachers. The instructors promise to be friendly and supportive and participants will never be put on the spot.

Bridge is meant to be stimulating and exiting, but most of all fun.  Seniors are taking up the game in big numbers because it is great for socializing and mental stimulation. Research has shown playing bridge improves memory and decision-making skills.

Existing COVID protocols will be followed as mandated by the Public Health Office. Participants are required to show proof of double vaccinations and wear a mask when entering the club.
