Music PEI kicks off Credit Union Music PEI Week 2021 Friday March 26 with 2 diverse shows. Diggin’ Deep Roots is a mix of roots music styles and will feature rising star fiddler Luka Hall, country/Americana artists Cory Gallant and Lawrence Maxwell, and emerging folk artist Shane Pendergast. The show will also include a special guest, newcomer Emmet MacLellan performing their new song Fine which was created as part of Music PEI’s Diverse Voices program.   

Also Friday night is Red Dirt Rock featuring accomplished rockers Wrong Planet Band, Little Cities and The Royal North, all bringing their own unique and different sounds to the stage.

The celebration continues Saturday afternoon with the always popular SOCAN Songwriter of the Year concert featuring a powerhouse lineup of nominees Catherine MacLellan, Rachel Beck, KINLEY, Dylan Menzie and Logan Richard. The concert is hosted by CBC’s Matt Rainnie who will interview the artists between songs.

Saturday night the music continues with 2 more great shows. Sounds For The Soul features a lush mix of soul, R&B and pop with Nikkie Gallant, Logan Richard, Brielle Ansems, Brandon Howard Roy and Kierrah.

The Block Party will present a mix of hip-hop, electronic and pop with nominees Braeden Van Asperen, Slime da Garbage Mane, Hailey MacIsaac, Phyzxx, Spivey, Adjust the Facts and Vince the Messenger.

Evening shows all begin at 8 pm while the Songwriter Concert begins at 1:30 pm. All shows take place at the Delta Hotel PEI Convention Centre. Tickets are available at

The Festival Finale Sunday night features top nominees Catherine MacLellan, Sarah Hagen, Sirens, Dylan Menzie, Rachel Beck, and Brielle Ansems and is sold out.

The Awards Party will happen Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm and will feature the presentation of the Music PEI Awards. This event will be streamed live on the Music PEI Facebook page.
