The provincial government is offering a series of voter and candidate awareness sessions for Islanders interested in participating in upcoming municipal elections. The sessions will cover the roles and responsibilities of municipal officials, the nomination process, and what voters and candidates can expect during an election period. The Resort Municipality election will take place on August 10, and province-wide municipal elections will be held on November 2. Upcoming public sessions will take place from 10 am–12 noon at: O’Leary Access PEI on September 14, Montague Access PEI on September 16, Summerside Access PEI on September 22, and the Charlottetown Library on September 24.
