Confederation Centre of the Arts presents Matt Andersen: The Hammer and The Rose Tour as part of CompassTech LIVE at the Centre. The concert takes place on January 29 at 7:30 pm in the Sobey Family Theatre, with special guest Mariel Buckley.
New Brunswick songwriter and powerhouse performer Matt Andersen brings a live show shaped by decades of touring clubs, theatres, and festivals worldwide, with music that moves between intimate folk and stirring soul. His latest album, The Hammer & The Rose, continues that range with songs focused on the things that matter most, delivered with the same craft and detail heard in his studio work.
Andersen has shared stages with artists including Marcus King, Beth Hart, Marty Stuart, Gregg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Randy Bachman, Serena Ryder, and Tab Benoit. His accolades include top solo honours at the International Blues Challenge (Memphis), multiple Maple Blues Awards, and European Blues Awards for Best Solo Acoustic Act.
