The heartfelt PEI comedy series Happy Trails Photography is now streaming on Fibe TV1.
The limited series, commissioned by Bell Fibe TV1, reunites PEI actors Rebecca Parent and John MacCormack who star as Wendy and Jason Arsenault, a newly divorced couple who have problems keeping their photography business afloat due to financial difficulties. The photographers turn to the “nearly and dearly departed” to build out their client base.
Directed by Jessica Gallant, Happy Trails Photography is written by Charlotte Engel and produced by Engel and Amy Sobol under Rock Yenta PEI Productions Inc.
“PEI has a love of all things Victorian, so I thought it would be fun to bring back the art of Victorian death photography but set it in modern day. Jason and Wendy’s struggles reflect that of many Islanders but also shows their resilience and creativity,” says Engel.
“Using only PEI local actors and crew made Happy Trails Photography a wonderful and meaningful experience. There is so much talent based on PEI, it would be a shame not to capitalize on it,” says Sobel.
Fibe TV1 is available commercial-free on demand to all Bell Fibe TV subscribers on Channel 1 and the Fibe TV app.
