Gay AF Comedy

Queer comedy institution Gay AF Comedy is taking its uplifting brand of stand-up to PEI. Hosted by Canadian Comedy Award winner Robert Watson, the Gay AF Comedy Tour will feature Just For Laughs headliner and CBC Comedy alumni Ava Val for a night of pro Queer stand-up at Trailside Music Hall in Charlottetown on April 10. 

Gay AF Comedy has been serving big laughs in Toronto since 2019 with a focus on amplifying comedic voices from the many intersections of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

One of Canada’s fastest rising stand-up stars, Ava Val, brings her high octane brand of hilarity that invites everyone to laugh and be enlightened by her experiences as a transgender woman. 

“With all that is happening to our LGBTQ community around the world, now is the right time to kick our Queer visibility into high gear by going on the road,” says host Robert Watson, whose successes include a #1 debut on the iTunes Comedy charts in 2023. “When our community is under attack it is more important than ever to feel and experience Queer joy, and Queer joy is exactly what Gay AF Comedy delivers.”
