Memento Mori

In memory of Ruth Lacey at Fitzroy St. Tiny Art Gallery

The Fitzroy St. Tiny Art Gallery opens for a new season with the installation, Memento Mori, which showcases a collection of treasures from the natural world, as gathered by Ruth Lacey, late mother of the gallery director and curator, Monica Lacey.

Ruth was fascinated by the cycles and seasons of nature: she loved finding the beauty in decay, change, and death, and was an avid collector of skulls and other items from animals or plants that held that beauty for her. This exhibit is presented in her memory.

The gallery houses a combination of curated professional exhibitions, and community artwork exchange. Located at the corner of Fitzroy and Felling Streets in Charlottetown, exhibitions are viewable 24/7.
