Fairytales
Exhibition at Breadalbane Gallery

Fairytales bring joy and wonder into our lives and satisfy the playful spirit of childhood. Whether it’s a favourite childhood myth or the feeling of wonder, joy, and storytelling found in legends, folktales, and fantasy, fairytales leave a lasting impression. Interpreting that lasting impression is the task of the artists in this month’s exhibition at the Breadalbane Gallery.
The May show in the gallery’s Annex will showcase works by artists exploring their relationship to fairytales. All are welcome to the opening reception on May 8 from 6–8 pm.
The Main Gallery, as usual, will hold new works by gallery artists, while the Annex will feature the results of the fairytale theme. There will also be a raffle of Denise Livingstone’s whimsical, experiential paintings using cardboard, old picture frames, and paint.
The not-for-profit community gallery, located at 4023 Dixon Road in Breadalbane, presents new work at opening receptions held on the second Friday of each month.
Gallery artists include Sabine Nuesch, Leo (Liu, Xin), Joan Sutton, Vian Emery, Zoe Novaczek, Denise Livingston, Will Baker, Haley Lewis, Marianne Janowicz, Silver Frith, Laura Bain, Lily-Ann Hein, Arjun Thappa, Zora Wendt, Rick MacDonald, Patrick Macdonald, Chris Mollins, Lisa Theriault, Yuzhu Yang, Lyneth Sausa, Nancy Brown, and Erin Veitch.
