Breadalbane Gallery

Upcoming exhibition features works by Nancy Brown

Painting by Nancy Brown

The work of Nancy Brown will be featured at the June Breadalbane Gallery exhibition. All are welcome to the opening reception on June 12 from 6–8 pm where Brown will talk about her work and its inspiration.

Flow artist Nancy Brown’s paintings reflect how she feels each day. The variety and quantity of her work create a montage of colour and shape. A debilitating illness started Brown on this voyage of colour and shape. “It’s my freedom, my sanity, a way to release my energy and find a place where I can create and find movement where my body can’t,” Brown says. Previously, Brown worked in the pharmaceutical industry, where the work was fast-paced and precise. Creating art has become a way for her to regenerate and feel grounded.

Gallery hours are Tuesday 11 am–3 pm, Wednesday 9 am–1 pm, and Thursday 4–8 pm at 4023 Dixon Road in Breadalbane. After June 22, the Gallery will be open Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 1–4 pm with an artist in attendance.
