East Coast Environmental Law is hosting a free public presentation and workshop with staff lawyers Mike Kofahl and Richelle Martin at the PEI Farm Centre in Charlottetown on July 15 from 6–8:30 pm.
Topics include how land is designated and protected under the Natural Areas Protection Act, fish habitat and offsetting under the federal Fisheries Act, and species-at-risk legislation, with a case study on the Piping Plover.
The event will also include a workshop to help the legal team develop a new Guide to Environmental Law in PEI, a free, comprehensive resource that will be published this fall. Participants will have opportunities to provide input and ask questions.
Visit eventbrite.ca to reserve a spot, and email admin@ecelaw.ca to submit a question in advance.
