DESCRIPTION:The Bedeque Area Historical Museum will host eight talks on 
 Mondays at 7 pm this summer at the William Callbeck Centre.\n\n\n\nThe s
 eries begins on July 6 with “Days of Oats and Oysters: 19th-Century Gl
 impses of Summerside and the Port of Bedeque\,” presented by Harry Hol
 man\, retired Director of Culture\, Heritage and Libraries.\n\n\n\nOn Ju
 ly 13\, Dr. Alan MacEachern of the University of Western Ontario will di
 scuss his book Becoming Green Gables.\n\n\n\nThe July 20 history circle 
 will explore “Summer Tourism and Cottage Life Around Bedeque Bay from 
 1900 Onwards.”\n\n\n\nOn July 27\, UPEI professor emeritus Dr. Edward 
 MacDonald will present “Injustice and Deception: The Loyalists and the
  Land Question on Prince Edward Island.”\n\n\n\nThe August 3 talk\, �
 �Elaine Harrison\, Teacher\, Artist\, Poet\, Campaigner\,” will be pre
 sented by Dr. Doug Sobey\, president of the Bedeque Area Historical Soci
 ety.\n\n\n\nAdmission is free\, though donations are welcome. For furthe
