DESCRIPTION:The spring art rotation at The Gallery – Coffee House & Bistro in Charlottetown features Quartette: Four Voices in Fibre\, an exhibition of rug hooking works by New Brunswick artist Katherine DeVere-Pettigrew and Prince Edward Island artists Carol Gabanna\, Carol Moffatt\, and Darlene Rhodenizer. The exhibition runs from March 2 to May 31 at 82 Great George Street\, Charlottetown. \nQuartette: Four Voices in Fibre presents the work of four contemporary fibre artists whose practices are rooted in rug hooking and expanded through experimentation. Working on PEI and in NB\, the artists are connected by a shared passion for self-expression and creativity\, and a deep engagement with fibre\, colour\, and loops of yarn. Together\, these four voices form a quartette—where individual approaches coexist in collective visual harmony. They share a love of shaping the quiet elegance of wool and hope visitors will be delighted\, inspired\, and curious. \nThe artists will celebrate the launch of their show with a free Opening Reception on March 5 from 6–8 pm. Everyone is welcome. The exhibition can be viewed during regular café hours\, 8 am–5 pm daily. All pieces are for sale.

DESCRIPTION:Kent Street will take centre stage this May Long Weekend as Street Feast returns for its sixth year\, bringing two days of food\, music\, and lively street culture to downtown Charlottetown. \nThe annual block party transforms Kent Street (between Great George and Prince Streets) into a vibrant\, pedestrian-friendly stretch of culinary pop-ups\, live performances\, and immersive programming—blending the energy of a festival with the familiarity and warmth of a neighbourhood gathering. \nThis year’s lineup features a mix of returning favourites\, including The Oak Downtown\, HopYard\, Salvador Dali Café\, PonyBoat Social Club\, Abbiocco\, Trailside Music Hall\, and Tivoli Cinema\, alongside nearby collaborators\, Ada Culinary Studio and Farmacy + Fermentary. Together\, they offer a range of festival-ready fare\, from indulgent street food to local beverages and creative culinary features. \nThroughout the weekend\, programming unfolds from afternoon into late evening\, with live music\, pop-up performances\, buskers\, and interactive experiences. Signature moments like the 90s dance party\, the hot dog eating contest\, and the all-new Hot Sauce Fiasco presented by Maritime Madness will add a fun\, slightly offbeat twist to the weekend.  \nStreet Feast runs on May 15 from 4–11 pm and May 16 from 12–11 pm. \nAll are welcome. \nAn entry fee includes full weekend access.
