Volunteer Event at Macphail Native Plant Arboretum

Macphail is also hosting a volunteer event on July 12 to help spruce up its native plant arboretum. Join new and old friends in making this area even more beautiful than it already is. Bring a favourite shovel or pruning tool, or come empty-handed—there are plenty of tools available for pruning, weeding, mulching, edging, and transplanting. This is a great opportunity to learn more about native plants and plant propagation. The event runs from 9 am to noon, but volunteers are welcome to stay as long as they’d like. Just show up at the arboretum, located right beside the native plant nursery.

The event is part of a series of community activities offered throughout the year at Macphail Woods. Dress accordingly—these events go ahead rain or shine.
