Vagabond Productions Presents: Antigone

Vagabond Productions presents Sophocles’ Antigone at the UPEI Performing Arts Centre from March 18–21 at 7:30 pm.

The play touches on themes of abuse of power more than a thousand years ago. The director, Greg Doran, said Vagabond Productions chose it because the ideas in the play are, unfortunately, still relevant, and so it seemed a good time to revisit the classic. The play will be presented from a particular perspective, so it might not be for people with a narrow view of the world order.

The doors open at 7 pm, with a 7:30 pm curtain. Admission is pay-what-you-can. The play’s language is suitable for all audiences, but the play does deal with the death of several characters: all off-stage in the Greek tradition.
