Tuning into Nature Musical Trail Walk
Tuning into Nature, a musical trail walk, takes place on the Meike Trail at Kelly Green Park on August 30 from 1–3 pm.
This year’s theme, “Thresholds,” invites listeners to explore the edges and in-between spaces of PEI’s natural soundscape, where pauses become part of the music. Guests will follow a one-kilometre loop through the park encountering 14 artists from the PEI Symphony Orchestra (PEISO) and community musicians performing at intervals along the route. Each station will blend music, poetry, and environment—from guitar and harp to fiddle, trombone, and voice, every stop offers a fresh perspective shaped by the landscape. Featured artists include Aaron Turner (percussion), Carlie Howell (bass), Dale Sorensen (trombone), Darin MacBeth (French horn), Ian Toms (guitar), Lana Quinn (harp), Lana Turner (voice), Laurie Brinklow (poetry), Luisa Güiza (singer-songwriter), Luka Hall (fiddle), Nadia Haddad (singer-songwriter), Olasunkanmi Omotosho (violin), Shawn Doiron (percussion), and Tanya Davis (poetry).
Rain date: August 31. Free for children 10 and under.
Tickets: peisymphony.com
