Tour the Naturalization Gallery with the Cornwall and Area Watershed Group
The Cornwall and Area Watershed Group (CAWG) is inviting the public to join for a tree ID lesson and tour the Naturalization Gallery on August 2 at 12 noon.
This tour is a unique chance to experience all of PEI’s native trees while travelling comfortably on a gravel path. The Naturalization Gallery is a walking trail within the Terry Fox Sports Complex. It serves to preserve the history of the Wabanaki-Acadian forest, and is a showcase of the native forest that once covered the Island, but has sadly since been reduced to less than 10 per cent of PEI’s land use. The Naturalization Gallery is located at the Dream Park parking lot at Eliot River Elementary School.
