Todd-Wilfrid King album release
Todd-Wilfrid King’s music career began in the 80s as a teen playing in Charlottetown-based band Paper Cross. He has gone on to perform and record with reggae, R&B, country, pop and rock artists across Canada. Throughout his career, Todd-Wilfrid has developed working partnerships with musicians in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Moncton, and Prince Edward Island.
The debut single and title track “Even When It Hurts”, written by King in 2020 while isolating when venues were closed and restrictions were tight in Alberta, references the way that love happens, even when it hurts. It was written and recorded using Dropbox to transfer files between contributing musicians in Calgary and Montreal. Chaz Coats-Butcher, bassist with Lee Aaron and the Forgotten Rebels, and Darryl Swart, percussionist with Rooks and Tree63 provided their talents on Bass and Percussion.
Todd-Wilfrid King’s music can be streamed or purchased from all online vendors and is distributed by DistroKid.
