Plein Air Painting at Macphail Homestead

Twenty Island artists will exhibit their Island nature and culture-themed artwork throughout July at Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead. 

On July 19 from 10 am–2 pm, artists will paint en plein air (outdoors) on site. The public is welcome to join in. Lunch will be available for a fee; bookings are recommended. Between lunch and dessert, three Island poets—Deirdre Kessler, Judy Gaudet, and John Flood—will read from their own works, inspired by the same natural beauty as the visual artists.

The artwork will be available for viewing and purchase throughout the month. House-made desserts, tea, and coffee are also available. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am–5 pm.
