Join Island Nature Trust for a screening of The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay and a virtual Q&A with the director at City Cinema on December 4 at 7 pm.
Directed by Kim Smith, the documentary follows a pair of piping plovers throughout their nesting season on a busy beach along the North Atlantic coastline. Smith captures the heartwarming resilience and courage of these shorebirds as they navigate the many threats and obstacles of nesting and raising chicks on a crowded beach. The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay highlights the importance of conservation and fostering healthy ecosystems. Free drink and popcorn is available to all who attend.
