PEI Modern Quilt Guild Meet The Artist

The PEI Modern Quilt Guild’s newest exhibition, Beyond the Block: Celebrating 10 Years of the PEI Modern Quilt Guild, will be on display in the main gallery of Eptek Art & Culture Centre from April 19–May 31.

The PEI Modern Quilt Guild (PEIMQG) was formed in 2015 by a small group of modern quilting enthusiasts with an aim to create and celebrate modern quilts and quilting on the Island. Now with over 40 members, the PEIMQG gathers monthly to motivate, inspire, and educate each other as they work on individual and collaborative projects. 

In this celebration of the Guild’s first decade, visitors will see examples of many modern quilting techniques, including bold colours, maximalism (and minimalism), improvisation, asymmetry, and more.

PEIMQG members will be onsite April 19 from 1–3 pm for a free Meet the Artists event.
