Mary Frances Leahy with Shane Pendergast and Ray Knorr

Mary Frances Leahy, the multi-talented daughter of acclaimed fiddlers Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, is returning by popular demand to Le Village musical acadien (VMA) in Abram-Village on May 17 at 7 pm.

At just 20 years old, Leahy has appeared both with her parents and on her own in over 800 live performances across North America, Europe, and Australia. Fusing her Celtic roots with sounds from around the world, she will perform alongside her brother Michael Leahy and Wellington’s own Rémi Arsenault.

Shane Pendergast and Ray Knorr will open the show. Pendergast has folk music in his blood. Hailing from a long lineage of PEI storytellers and musicians, he is keeping the Maritime folk tradition alive with his honest and insightful compositions. Joining him is fiddler Ray Knorr, who grew up in the diverse fiddling scene of Western Canada. Since moving to PEI two years ago, he has found inspiration in the Island’s fiddle music.

Advance tickets are available online at villagemusical.ca. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.
