Hunter-Clyde Run for the River
The Hunter-Clyde Watershed Group will be hosting the second annual Run for the River fundraiser, happening at 10:30 am on May 17 at Kent G. Ellis Park in Hunter River.
This family-friendly event combines outdoor fun, local music, and a strong sense of community, all in support of essential environmental work. All funds raised at this event go directly towards ongoing and future restoration and conservation projects throughout the Hunter-Clyde Watershed.
Participants can register online ahead of time by filling out the registration form at hcwg.ca or sign up on-site the morning of the event. There is a registration fee for the event. In person registration starts at 9:45 am and the race begins at 10:30 am.
After the race, stick around to celebrate with live music from local favourites The Boney Oaks, a BBQ, and classic lawn games for all ages.
Run for the River is a way to enjoy the outdoors, support local conservation, and connect with community for seasoned runners or casual walkers.
