Fall Field Days: Shriner’s Family Fun Day
The Northeast Shrine Association (NSA) Fall Field Days will take place in Summerside from September 25–28. The NSA, founded in 1936, represents over 11,000 Shriners from 16 Temples across the northeastern United States and Canada, and anticipate welcoming over 400 Shriners and their families to the Island for the special occasion.
This year’s gathering is especially significant as it marks the first time in history that the Fall Field Days will be held in Prince Edward Island. Traditionally hosted in Halifax every 16 years, this is a unique honour and an exciting opportunity to showcase the Island’s hospitality to an international audience.
The Shriners will be working with Arlington Orchards to hold an annual Family Fun Day on September 28. Families and friends can come out to the Orchards for a day of apple and pear picking and kids’ activities, such as face painting and train rides, food, live music, and games. There will be a BBQ and Cavendish Farms French fries. Arlington Orchards donates a portion of sales to the Shriners.
