A year after the murder of her mother, Sydney Prescott is terrorized by a masked killer who targets her and her friends by using scary movies as part of a deadly game. This immutable staple of the slasher genre could only have been created by the minds of director Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street), a man largely responsible for the genre, and screenwriter Kevin Williamson (The Faculty, I Know What You Did Last Summer), who grew up on Craven’s films. Scream is an out and out classic, and an absolute must if you like… scary movies.
