Charlottetown Darkroom Film Screening and Zine Launch
The Charlottetown Darkroom (CDR) is a group of photographers establishing a dedicated community space to practice film photography on PEI. CDR is hosting a film screening and zine launch at 7:30 pm on September 16 at the Beaconsfield Carriage House in Charlottetown.
This is a free event, with zines and snacks for sale to raise money for the establishment of a community darkroom in the city. The Heatwave zines were created from photos taken at the group’s first photo walk event in late June. The film to be screened is Finding Vivian Maier, a documentary centered around an enigmatic mid 20th century photographer who produced a prolific body of work while employed as a nanny.
