An Evening with Bruce Cockburn
Revered singer-songwriter and activist, Bruce Cockburn will be live in concert in the Sobey Family Theatre at Confederation Centre of the Arts on October 17 at 7:30 pm. An evening with Bruce Cockburn features the legendary artist performing selections from his newly-released album O Sun O Moon, along with many of his well-loved hits. One of Canada’s finest artists, Cockburn has enjoyed an illustrious career shaped by politics, spirituality and musical diversity. His journey has seen him embrace folk, jazz, rock and worldbeat styles while earning high praise as a prolific, inspired songwriter and accomplished guitarist. His songs of romance, protest and spiritual discovery are among the best to have emerged from Canada over the past five decades. For his many achievements, he has been awarded 13 JUNO Awards, an induction into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and has been made an officer of the Order of Canada. Cockburn has 22 gold and platinum records including a six-times platinum record for his Christmas album.
