Blazing Saddles Tour with Cedric Newman & Chris Quigley

Cedric Newman and Chris Quigley will be coming to Trailside Music Cafe on December 6 at 8 pm as a part of their Blazing Saddles tour. They will be hosted by local comedian Katherine Cairns. Cedric Newman – a Jamaican-born comedian- has been performing stand-up comedy coast-to-coast and selling out venues for over 20 years. He has performed on TV for CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival, and he also appeared on CTV’s Amazing Race Canada where he competed with his son. Chris Quigley has worked as a professional stand-up comedian cross-country for over 30 years, delighting audiences and selling out shows from clubs to festivals, and has been on CTV’s Comedy Now. Both Chris and Cedric are considered to be two of Canada’s top comics. Katherine Cairns got her start in stand-up in Charlottetown in 2019. Since then she has opened for pro comedians including Patrick Ledwell, Mike Wilmot, Tim Nutt, and Nathan MacIntosh. She has been nominated twice for CBC’s Hubcap Amateur Competition, showcased twice for Just For Laughs, and twice written for the Debaters (she has a thing about the number two). Most recently, she appeared as James Mullinger’s wife in the Bell Fibre sitcom Brit Out Of Water.
