The Pisquid River Enhancement Project Watershed Farmers’ Meeting

The Pisquid River Enhancement Project is hosting a Watershed Farmers’ Meeting at Saint Joachim’s Parish Hall on March 11 from 7–9 pm.

Marc Schurman of Schurman Family Farms in Kensington will be speaking on the pros and cons of organic greenhouse farming on PEI. Also, Agricultural Energy Systems Specialist Ankita Shrestha will be offering a presentation on energy consumption efficiency in agriculture as a means of cutting production costs.

All farmers – traditional, organic, market, and home gardeners – are welcome, as is the general public. Refreshments will be provided.
